Catholic Recipe: Rosolio Liqueur
A traditional liqueur with the sweet savor of rose petals, reputedly invented by a doctor from Padua, Michele Savonarola (fourteenth to fifteenth century).
DIRECTIONS
Pour the honey, rose petals and alcohol into a wide-mouthed bottle. Hermetically seal, shake well and then leave the liquid to steep in a cool, dark place.
One month later, filter the liquid, decant into a bottle and then leave for another 2 months. This drink makes an excellent accompaniment to desserts.
